Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge is not built on one man’s power. There are thousands of people who paid years of efforts to build the magnificent construction.

港珠澳大桥的建成靠的不是一个人的力量，它是由成千工人花费几年的时间建造的一座宏伟的建筑物。

Lin Ming, the chief engineer, visited many countries and investigated their huge engineering constructions. In Korea, he mainly focused on Busan-Geoje Fixed Link, which is the longest immersed tunnel in the world and is of similar construction with HKZM Bridge. Lin was impressed with two points, utilizing the global resources is pivotal, so is holding the core technology.

总工程师林鸣在港珠澳大桥建造前后曾走访世界其他各国，并考察他们的桥梁建筑，从中吸取经验教训。在德国，他主要拜访了巨加跨海大桥，那是当时世界上最长的沉管隧道大桥，同时，它与港珠澳大桥的建设在工程上有很多相似之处。林鸣在考察中对两件事情印象深刻，一是要整合世界资源，二是要掌握核心科技。

Island Tunnel chief designer Liu Xiaodong spend seven years on a ten-thousand-pages design plan. 岛隧总设计师刘晓东及其团队用了7年时间设计了共有140多稿，加起来有一万多页的图纸设计。而在2010年大桥开建的那年，也是刘晓东设计生涯的转折点，从熟悉的桥梁设计转向陌生的岛隧设计。他曾经说建造沉管隧道大桥就像是让小学生做高考题，因为沉管隧道对中国建筑者而言是全新的技术。

The completion of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge not only demonstrates China's comprehensive strength, but also reflects China's achievement in infrastructure building.

港珠澳大桥的建成不仅体现了中国的综合实力，也体现了中国在基础设施建设方面的成就。
