我在伦敦读传媒硕士的时候，深深地被这个国际化大都市的高度发达的文化产业所震撼，从电影，歌剧，画展，到各种博物馆等。印象最深的是，每次去地铁站，每个月都有不同的话剧海报挂在上下扶梯的墙上，成为伦敦独特的文化标志。也会在匆忙奔走于两个站台之间，在某个不经意的转角处听到一个女高音如演唱会般投入地歌唱。文化产业高度发展和普通民众对于文化的感受力和欣赏力是相辅相成的。在这个做事极其刻板的岛国，文化产业的繁荣和商业文明的发达相得益彰。
英国人资本家的精明无处不在。关于文化产业最早的认知来自国王学院的文化和创意产业。而传说这个专业的系主任在考察了一番中国之后，就回去开了这个专业，因为预测到未来这个产业在中国的发展潜力以及国内关于这方面学习的贫瘠。结果这个专业的招生要求在逐年提高。当然，进入就读之后也会料到99%的学生来自中国大陆，以及其中零星的几个男生。
在国内这个专业的学科建设非常不完善。国内类似课程都是跟经济管理和文化结合，没有针对产业发展信息和动态的关注。国内目前有名的开设这个专业的学校是山东大学、北京大学、上海交大、中国传媒大学等。这个专业的博士点更是少之又少。
所以，如果想在电影行业、展会、文化旅游公司、企业文化部门等相关领域发展的，可以选择英国一年快节奏的课程读。更加推荐选择在伦敦的学校，可以真实体会到一个文化高度发展的城市所具有的魅力。可以真的明白“如果你厌倦了伦敦，你就厌倦了生活”这句文艺腔十足的话。

要求：2000字的Writing sample。专业背景没有特别要求。UCL的要求比较高，即使是非211的话，均分较高的情况下，也是难度比较大。IELTS 7.0，阅读、写作不低于6.5，其他不低于6.0.
