[差別] Carry 是用手（臂）拿著、帶著、扛著東西；
而bring 只強調方向：把東西拿來，把人帶來。
[例句] What do you carry in your school bag?（你的書包裡都裝什麼？）
Did you bring your passport?（你有帶護照嗎？）

[差別] 中文都是生活，但life是名詞，live是動詞。
[例句] My goal in life is to find happiness.（我的人生目標是找到幸福。）
They live on the other side of the street.（他們住在這條街的另一邊。）

[差別] Situation單純指某種『情況、狀況、處境』，
case則常放片語中，如in case (of)（萬一）, in his case（對他來說、以他的情況來說）等。

[差別] Hope 內心期待或希望事情發生，簡單直接又單純;
wish 除了『祝福』(Wish you a merry Christmas! 祝福你耶誕快樂！)之外，多用在有點懊悔的『但願』，搭配假設語態，意思就是沒做到。
[例句] I hope the school doesn't reject my application.
（我希望學校不會拒絕我的申請。）
I wish I could do something to help.（我希望我能做點什麼。）

[差別] 蜘蛛網用web;
其他如：漁網、抓蝴蝶的網、球網、擋蚊子的網（蚊帳）都用net。
＊網路世界的web 是World Wide Web (WWW)的簡稱；
Net則是Internet或network。
[例句] Not all spiders weave webs.（不是每種蜘蛛都織網。）
We use a mosquito net to keep away bugs.（我們用蚊帳來避開蚊蟲。）

[差別] Position指相對位置；location是確切地點，地圖上可以點出的地方。
[例句] Did you move the sofa? It's in a different position.
（你動過這沙發嗎？它移位置了。）
The store is moving to a different location.
（這間店要搬到新的地址了。）

[差別] Age 是名詞；old是形容詞。
填基本資料時會看到age（年齡）這一欄；問『幾歲？』開頭用How old…?
[例句] All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
（13歲以下的兒童需由成人陪伴。）
He’s 13 years old. （他13歲。）
He's an old friend of ours.（他是我們的老朋友。）

[差別] 遇到problem要找solution（解決方法）；
聽到question要找answer（解答）。
[例句] He came up with a creative solution to the problem.
（他替那問題想到一個有創意的解決方案。）
May I ask you a personal question?
（我可以問你個私人的問題嗎？）

[差別] Home是居住場所、家鄉；house是建築物、一間房子（透天厝）。
[例句] There is no place like home.（哪裏都沒有家鄉好。）
I bought this house two years ago.（我兩年前買了這房子。）

[差別] A few things是一些東西，a few people是一些人，
a few後面都接可數名詞複數。
Less是little的比較級，相反詞是more，
例如近年流行的生活哲學『少即是多』，英文是Less is more.
[例句] Can I borrow your car for a few days?（我可以向你借幾天車嗎？）
He is saving money by cooking at home more and going out less.
（他正透過多在家煮並減少外食來省錢。）
