2010年10月，微软推出了根据Zune系统设计的WindowsPhone 7。
2013年全新的拥有扁平化气质的iOS 7腾空出世。
紧随苹果之后的谷歌，将其网页和应用程序的风格转换为扁平化设计，并将其命名为Material Design。
随着三大巨头各具特色的扁平化设计流行，设计界上所有的设计仿佛一夜间变的扁平没有特色了。那怎么样才能重一堆扁平中脱颖而出呢？

没有人知道明天会发生什么，但我们可以说，扁平化设计会继续流行，直至出现更加独特的风格，谷歌的Material Design或许会成为一种延伸，毕竟它没有消除阴影的元素，以一种使用渐变的微妙变化混合扁平化与拟物化的风格存在。由于Google一直以创造新事物闻名，也许下个风格依旧是它所缔造。
